Galatasaray earned an easy victory against TFF Second League side Balıkesirspor at home beating the Balıkesir side 4-1.
Elmander put the Lions in front in the twenty fifth minute of the game, drilling a low shot into the right hand corner.
However, seven minutes later the TFF Second League side equalised, Mustafa Şen scoring from a tight angle off Ceylan's original save.
The visitors were on the attack again, Ceylan preventing the visitors going in front by denying Muhammed Reis from scoring.
With five more minutes left of the first half, the Lions scored once more, this time Sercan Yıldırım scoring for the home side.
The home side went in front again in the sixtieth minute, Yıldırım set up Aydın Yılmaz who easily put the ball past the Balıkesirspor keeper to make it 3-1 to Galatasaray.
The Lions sealed their victory in the seventieth minute, Sabri Sarıoğlu's freekick which went over the heads of the Balıkesirspor defence and saved by Caner Arici, however, Ceyhun Gülselam was near by to tap the ball into the back of the net to make it 4-1 to Galatasaray.

In week 13 of the Süper Lig Galatasaray beat Elazığspor one nil, with Felipe Melo becoming the unexpected hero of the match.
Terim fielded a slightly different team compared with the mid week Champions League clash with Manchester United, the likes of Yılmaz, Hamit, and Selçuk were rested; Sarıoğlu and Engin Baytar were brought in for this match against the Gakgoşlar.
The Istanbul side went ahead in the early part of the second half, Reira whipped in a cross from the left hand side which the Elazığspor keeper parried poorly, Yekta Kurtuluş was at the right time and place to tap the ball into the back of the net.
Though the most talked about event of the game wasn't the goal, Muslera was sent off for bringing down Serdar Gürler and injuring him self in the process. Felipe Melo took his place and pulled off a magnificent save to deny Göksu Türkdoğan from scoring.
Galatasaray's win in Elâzığ keeps them top of the league with twenty five points. In week 14 of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray will host Gaziantep side Gaziantepspor at the Türk Telekom Arena on Friday.

The Lions beat Premier League giants Manchester United in front of a packed 50,000 plus crowd at the Türk Telekom Arena.
The home side had the better of the early exchanges with Danish keeper Anders Lingaard preventing Yılmaz from scoring from long range.
The Mancunians came close in the late stages of the first half with Nick Powell heading Tom Cleverly's corner against the bar, Galatasaray's back four which at times from watching them this season have looked shaky at times; however the likes of Spaniard Reira and Ivorian Emmanuel Eboué played well on the right and left flanks respectively.
By the second half, the Lions played slightly better, Melo played a nice one two with Eboué and was unlucky to score from his diving header effort.
United continued to be a threat especially on the counter attack, however Muslera remained unfazed by the Red's attack.
Ashley Young and Federico Macheda came on in the last fifteen minutes of the game, Galatasaray almost made it two nil, Altıntop's long range effort was tipped over by Lingaard.
In the remaining minutes of the game, United tried to get back in the game, the Lions held on and got a historic win that every Galatasaray fan will remember.
The Lions face Braga at the Estádio Municipal de Braga on Wednesday the 5th of December. The win in Istanbul keeps Galatasaray in second place with seven points (equal with CFR Cluj).

In week 12 of the Süper Lig Galatasaray lost 3-1 to Karabük side Karabükspor at the Türk Telekom Arena.
The away side scored in the 21st minute, Ahmet Ilhan was in open space and beat Muslera and Cris who watched the ball sail into the back of the net to give the Mavi Ateş (Blue Flame) the lead.
Ten minutes later Yılmaz equalised for the Lions, Altintop giving Yılmaz a perfect through ball who slotted the ball passed Croatian keeper Vjekoslav Tomić.
Soon after the away side went ahead again, Lomana Lua Lua made a breaking run into the Galatasaray defence and set up Mehmet Yıldız who made it 2-1 to Karabükspor. Terim was looking furious from the dugout with his defense failing to close the opposition down once again.
A very frustrating game for any Galatasaray fan to watch, Melo missing a golden opportunity and other opportunities being flagged for offside as well as two penalty decisions not going their way.
To make matters worse, the Blue Flame scored in the 90th minute, İlhan Parlak running past the Galatasaray back four and slotting the ball past Muslera to make it 3-1 to the Karabük side.
The Lions however still remain top of the Süper Lig despite losing, on Tuesday they face Manchester United at home in the Champions League. In week 13 of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray will travel to Elâzığ and play Elazığspor.

The Lions travelled to the Southern Mediterranean city of Mersin to play against Mersin İdman Yurdu.
The Istanbul side drew with the Kırmızı Şeytanlar (Red Devils) following their mid-week Champions League win over Romanian side CFR Cluj.
The home side gave Galatasaray a tough time, particularly in the first half, the Lions fought back with a few long range efforts and came close on a few occasions.
In the second half the Lions got off to an impressive start, Turkish international Umut Bulut put the visitors in front from a tap in.
Fifteen minutes later the home side were given a corner, Brazilian born Mert Nobre headed the ball past Muslera to make it 1-1.
Galatasaray remain top of the Süper Lig with Antalyaspor in second place, however both sides are level on points.

The Istanbul club revived their Group H Champions League campaign with a 3-1 win in Transylvania.
The Lions had Yılmaz to thank for scoring a hat-trick on Wednesday night, heading his first goal from Altintop's cross which beat Portuguese keeper Mário Felgueiras.
Cluj started to up their game after conceding, it wasn't until the second half that the Romanian team made it level, Modou Sougou equalising for the home side.
Galatasaray started to play better after the Railwaymen pulled one back, Altintop beat one of the Cluj defenders and crossed the ball to Yılmaz who again scored passed Mário Felgueiras.
In the 74th minute Yılmaz got his hat-trick, Selçuk made a well timed through ball to his fellow Turkish team mate who then made a darting run and zigzagged the Cluj defense and slotting the ball passed Felgueiras for the third consecutive time.
Yılmaz has now scored four goals in the competition as well as appearing in UEFA's team of the week.
The win in Transylvania on Wednesday night has put the Lions in second place in Group H with four points. Galatasaray will face Premier League giants Manchester United at the Türk Telekom Arena on the 20th of November.

Last Friday Galatasaray made the short journey to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium to face İstanbul BB.
The Lions picked up their second consecutive victory after experiencing a few defeats and draws in the Süper Lig.
The current Turkish champions scored early in the first half, Yılmaz ran past and beat the İstanbul BB defense and found Bulut in open space who then slotted the ball passed the keeper to make it one nil to the away side.
Yılmaz was also involved with Galatasaray's second goal, the Turkish international's shot was pushed away by İstanbul BB's keeper Eduardo, Selçuk was in the right place to tap the ball into the back of the net.
In the second half, the home side started to play better, in the 61st minute former Bursaspor player Turgay lobbed Muslera; however, this didn't last for long, Kamil Zayatte headed the ball into the back of his net from Emre Çolak's cross.
This vital win for the Lions keeps them top of the Süper Lig and level on twenty one points with second placed Antalyaspor.
Galatasaray will play Mersin side Mersin İdmanyurdu at the Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium on the 11th of November.
